Starting the week on a non food related post (cue gasps of horror) I saw this piece in the Times about how Austin made the writer love America.

Some more lawsuits this week. Austin’s own Hey Cupcake had a disagreement with an Indiana bakery, and Hershey’s think a pan sold by Williams-Sonoma is too much like their chocolate bars.

On the strange and random front, this week also saw 14 foods that haven’t been invented yet, 20 awesome things about bacon and the weirdest restaurants.

The Daily Green had tips this week on reading food labels.

Boing Boing introduced me this week to nigri shaped doughnuts.

And on the subject of doughnuts, next Friday (the 4th) is National Doughnut day. To commemorate this Dunkin Donuts will give customers a free doughnut when they buy a drink.
