It’s been a slow news week… Or I’ve just been busy and failing to collect links like I usually do… your call *grins*

In very exciting local news, Bryce Gilmore, the owner and head chef of Odd Duck Farm to Trailer is opening a gastropub on South Lamar (called Barley Swine), in the space where Pie Slice Bakery used to be. Opening date is still up in the air but they’re aiming for mid-October. Thankfully, Odd Duck will remain open.

Someone with way too much time on their hands sat down and worked out the daily calorific intact of Homer Simpson, Garfield and the Seinfeld cast.

Fine cooking have an entertaining ice cream recipe developer. Drag your infusions, additions and mix-ins into the bowl and it works it all out for you. Since it’s dealing with infusions over any other ways of adding flavours it’s relatively simple and could be worked out on your own, but I’m having fun playing with it anyway!
